Interface Direct control Setting Sci-fi / futuristic Visual Fixed / flip-screen Gameplay Arcade, Shooter Perspective Side view Genre Action Description Insects are attacking from outer space. A UFO has been spotted releasing grubs into the upper atmosphere above the planet. You control a vessel equipped with a laser, and must take out the arthropoid vermin before they land. As the grubs descend, they reach holes (represented by a grid of dots) where they turn into healthy larvae. Each larva requires two shots to be killed. The first shot slows them down, and causes them to change colour to a sickly purple, while the second finishes them off. When larvae reach the next hole they will become dormant for a short period of time. During this time they stop moving and are impervious to attack, but require two hits to be killed when they start moving again. When the larvae are close enough to the ground, they plummet in your direction. You can lose a ship if you are run into, or if you are hit by one of the many missiles dropped by the larvae as they descend. Once they reach the ground, the larvae turn into cocoons. When a total of seven cocoons have accumulated, they hatch into their adult forms: deadly Ultra Moths that swoop from the air and have fast and targeted missile attacks. Once the moths are eliminated, more larvae appear in a never-ending stream until you are eventually over-run. From Mobygames.com. Original Entry |
