Released Mar, 1981 Platform Arcade Developed by Pacific Novelty Manufacturing, Inc. Published by Game Plan, Inc. Interface Direct control Perspective Side view Genre Action Visual Fixed / flip-screen Description In Shark Attack , you play a carnivorous denizen of the deep ocean who is being pestered by dangerous but delicious divers who are out to kill you. The divers are armed with spear-guns which will kill you on contact. But you have teeth with which you can bite divers in half, a slight speed advantage, and the ability to move extra fast over short bursts. Each wave consists of four divers. The slower red divers found on earlier waves are only worth 50 points, while the faster yellow divers found later can be worth 500 points each. While dispatching the divers, you are treated to the electronic voices and screams of the panicky humans. You start the game with three to five sharks, depending on machine settings. After surviving 7 waves of divers, signified by skulls in the top right of the screen, you are awarded an extra shark. Loss of all sharks ends the game. From Mobygames.com. Original Entry
