Contents of the Samples Directory Your CD-ROM contains 8-bit and 16-bit WAVE files samples. For Sound Blaster Pro users, get your samples from the \SAMPLES\WAVE\8BIT directory. Otherwise, get your samples from the \SAMPLES\WAVE\16BIT directory. MIDI files are available in GM and FM file formats. If you are using Sound Blaster Pro or Sound Blaster 16, get the samples from the \SAMPLES\MIDI\FM directory. If you are using Sound Blaster AWE32 or an external General MIDI device, get your samples from the \SAMPLES\MIDI\GM directory. 2. Creating your Installation Diskettes The SB16DSK and SBPRODSK directories on the CD contain floppy disk images for you to create installation diskettes. You can create installation diskettes by copying the contents from the appropriate subdirectory to your diskettes. The ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN and SPANISH subdirectories contain the respective English, French, German, Italian and Spanish files. The following lists the entire set of diskettes required for installation: DISK1 Installation Disk DISK2 Applications Disk Disk3 Accessories Disk DISK4 Text-to-Speech Program Disk 3. Installing your Software If there is insufficient memory to run the INSTALL command from your Sound Blaster Directory or from the Installation Disk, please restart installation by typing INSTALLO.
